Pacific Rim
When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began. On the verge of defeat, the forces defending mankind have no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes-a washed up former pilot and an untested trainee, who are teamed to drive a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger from the past. Together, they stand as mankind's last hope against the mounting apocalypse.

I enjoyed this movie more than I expected to. Lots of action, and some good sub-plots, mixed in with some humor, make this a good time . Similar, but way better than Godzilla!

Surprise! This didn't stink. I think I was expecting a Transformers knockoff, so any bit of originality got extra credit. Worth a look. I mean, at this price....

Good movie, but certainly not great by any means. It seems like the writers had a great idea for a movie, but then sort of winged it when it came to writing the actual plot / storyline.
Nevertheless, the special effects are indeed impressive, and the movie is best enjoyed if you have an awesome surround-sound system in your home. Overall...decent one to rent, but most likely not one to lay down any money to buy.

CGI choppy, too long, and why are writers still sacrificing the Chinese and the Russians?

There's nothing wrong with your apartment. No need to be alarmed. For the next two hours, you will journey into a world filled with sight & sound. Your walls will tremble, your windows will rattle, and the floor will vibrate as your furniture move slowly across the room. This will not be the effects of any stimulants you inhale or swallow, but a mind and body experience shared with those who view, Pacific Rim!!!!!!! I felt like a little boy when i called my friend over to watch this movie on my HOMETHEATER. When my friend arrived, i had already laid out the ammunition. A very large plate of Buffalo wings and french fries with blue cheese dip. It was on!!!! I started the movie and it didn't take long for my friend to notice the sound and the breathtaking visuals. I laughed when she look at me and said "holy s#@T!" while chewing her Buffalo wings as my WHOLE apartment began to vibrate from the sound of the very large monsters and robots walking and fighting. The audio is totally "sound freak approved" The story was ok, the monsters looked a little corny, the robots were cool, but the real star in this movie is the effects!! There were several scenes that had me thinking that perhaps my neighbors would call the cops. My windows, walls, floor, and even the tall drinking glasses were moving from the very serious bass coming from my subwoofers. Perhaps the best line i heard all night was from my friend when she said "can you imagine something walking towards you sounding like that??!!!!" I'm giving this popcorn entertainment movie 5 stars!!!!! For amazing sound & breathtaking visuals, decent acting, cool action scenes, Del Toro, having no one living under me, and my friend's last words. "Holy S#@T!!! A large plate of Buffalo wings with french fries and and coca-cola.

Just another Global Warming PROPAGANDA movie, disguised as a so-called monster versus robot movie period.Just like the last ''Man of Steel'' movie that Hollywood made, this Global Warming MK ULTRA propaganda BRAINWASH told me and everybody else that saw this garbage that is not a POLITICAL ZOMBIE anymore that it is our fault aka the average person in real life worldwide for the reason why Hurricanes,Tornadoes, and all weather storms exists (which is what the monsters in this predictive program) represents period. The Robots in this predictive program represent the USA Government using H.A.A.R.P. to create our so-called Hurricanes,Tornadoes,Tsunamis, and the rest of our artificially created storms aka our so-called bad weather period, because the USA Government gives us the problems, reactions, and FAKE solutions to all of our so-called problems in real life worldwide literally that they have engineered for our elite slave masters worldwide that are in the midst of DEPOPULATING us literally period. What movies like this will never tell is the fact that our stinking Governments in real life worldwide are the real MONSTERS that are real threats to us and themselves and they are also the creators of the robots and robotic takeover of all of our former and current jobs, careers, and businesses that are going to be totally extinct forever in real life very shortly literally period.Only POLITICAL ZOMBIES and children like and LOVE this behavior placement, predictive program that they call a movie because they REALLY DON'T KNOW what this film is really all about at all period,BUT YOU DON'T HEAR ME THOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I enjoyed this one. Among the Actors in this Movie for Fans of "Beauty and the Beast" "Ron Perlman"(who played the "Beast")has an interesting role in this movie. Although His role is a minor one. He adds a funny moment to the end of this movie.

Giant robots battle giant monsters in a movie that plays mostly on the spectacle than the plot. Emphasis is towards the effects, which there are many. Mostly for those who love action in their movies.

Dr. Newton Geiszler: Fortune favors the brave, dude.

Stacker Pentecost: Today. Today... At the edge of our hope, at the end of our time, we have chosen not only to believe in ourselves, but in each other. Today there is not a man nor woman in here that shall stand alone. Not today. Today we face the monsters that are at our door and bring the fight to them. Today, we are cancelling the apocalypse!

Raleigh Becket: This is worth fighting for. We don't have to just obey him.

Mako Mori: It's not obedience, Mr. Beckett; it's respect.

Epicness, epic, with a hint of awesome.
This film is so epic you will watch it saying "epic" your eyes will send messages to your brain that say epicness to the max. Ever seen anything more epic? Well it better be this, because this is epicness to the max. Imagine some one taking all the Epicness in the world and melting it down to the alloy of awesome, and then turn it in to a cup or Goblet for epicness, you then pour the liquid awesomeness and epicness and make it in to a magnificent cup, you then pour every epic made while this cup was created, you then pour it in to this cup and give it to Del Toro, and you get this epicness of a movie. This movie will want you to have more epicness in your life, and this epic of a movie will help you take care of 99.9999 % of that need for awsomeness. 'Nuff said.
