As a potter interested in the history of American pottery, I found this book to be excellent. Loaded with photos of George Ohr, his pottery and his world it gave me an idea of just how far ahead of his times he was. I highly recommend it.

George Ohr thought he was the greatest art potter on the earth, but nobody agreed with him until 50 years after his death.

A great book to share with a kid who may feel out-of-sync with his/her own peers - I found myself sad to know I could not meet the self-procalimed greatest Pot-Ohr in the world.
