I actually enjoyed this one a lot more than its predecessor. Can't really say why for sure but I just did. Mia's tragedy from the first book is tragic obviously but seeing what happens to one person she's chosen to cut off. Grief affects everyone different and sometimes you feel grief in situations where you less expected.

It's been three years since [If I Stay]. Mia and Adam are both highly successful in their brands of music and haven't spoken to one another face to face since Mia left for Julliard. E-mail correspondence dropped suddenly soon after. Adam is in New York, his schedule with his successful band cleared for the day, and happens to come across the fact that Mia is playing that night. Mia sees him and calls him backstage after the show.

There's a lot of awkwardness between the two and a lot of hurt. On both sides and it's great watching Adam understand that as much as Mia understands that she should have handled the situation better but couldn't. It's not as depressing a read as the previous book, you pretty much know how this is going to end, but it is heartstring pulling on its own for different reason.

If you liked the first one, you'll like this one.

A stark and unapologetic look at the decisions that are made at times of great despair which lead to painful misunderstandings. More heartfelt than If I Stay, this sequel touches the soul by bringing a promise of a good future for Mia and Adam. Beautiful story.

I started and finished both If I Stay and this book within twenty four hours of starting them. Gayle Forman is a wonderful writer and I fell completely in love with Mia and Adam. I wish I could keep reading about them, but I am so happy I got two books from their story. Very beautiful writing

I wasn't sure what to expect from this novel. I thought there would be one after it, it just seemed inconclusive, I'm not sure why. This story is what happens 3 years later after the accident and Adam and Mia reconnect. I would only recommend this book if you're really curious about what happens between Adam and Mia and you've read the first one.

This sequel to If I Stay is written from Adam's point of view. It is three years after the accident that took Mia's family away from her. Read it to see if Adam and Mia's love can transcend this tragedy. Gayle Forman writes well in the voice of a guy. If you enjoy her take on writing as a guy, try Patricia McCormick's My Brother's Keeper where she does a wonderful job of writing as a teenage boy.

Sexual Content: It doesn't say anything, but u know that they, um, "Get Close" almost at the end of the book. But it doesn't say anything about it.

Coarse Language: Although funny, this book does contain language that I don't recommend for younger audiences. Definitely for teens!!!
