You won't go wrong reading this stirring and touching book. As a side note, Hugo fills the pages with explanations, descriptions, etc. so be prepared for a long read. Jean Valjean remains among my top favorite characters from literature.

Beautiful writing, amazing setting. Better than a history book. They should write school history books like this!

I am only twelve years of age and I've loved this book for what it really is. It is by far one of my favorite books of all time and I wish to read it again in High School! 5/5 stars.
