I wish I could make my children understand just how much of a groundbreaking group the Beatles were. They defied all the so called social conventions of the period and appealed to all races, ethnicities, genders. They truly made us appreciate the diversity of music here in the colonies. Made so many wonderful songs, and no one album could ever do them justice.

The Beatles really went out in style with Abbey Road, one of their best albums (if any of their albums can really be called that).

The last album the Beatles recorded. After the antagonistic Let it be sessions, they wanted to end the relationship by showing the world they were going out on top.
If you take out the overblown Maxwell track, the album flows seemlessly from one classsic to another.
We shall never see their like again.
