Some good true-crime stories, some I wish were longer and the longer ones I wish were shorter.

I like Ann Rule's writing because she takes the time to delve into the psychology of both the victim and the perpetrator of a crime, and also to give an overview of police procedure, all of which is very evident in this book---great read!
