This is an excellent summary of Campbell's works. Of course, there is no substitute for reading his peerless works but for those who are new to Campbell and want a foretaste of his writings or those who want to summarize his oeuvre, this is simply a superb book.

This collection of excerpts from Campbell's writings was not compiled by him, and it shows. You'll get more out of his original writings, or his DVD interviews with Bill Moyers.
