Description

The NYPL's Helen Bernstein Book Award for Excellence in Journalism is given to a working journalist whose books have brought clarity and public attention to important issues, events, or policies. It was established in 1987 and includes a 15,000 prize. Previous winners of the award include David Finkel, Jane Mayer, Charlie Savage, Dana Priest, and George Packer.
