Annotation:Saba and Lugh are twins living in the desert wasteland in the future with their dad and younger sister Emmi. When a group of masked men on horses kidnap Lugh and kill their father, Saba begins a one woman mission to find Lugh and rescue him. When Saba and Emmi are kidnapped and taken to Hopetown, their real adventure begins. Saba is forced into battle as a cage fighter, where she earns the nickname Angel of Death. It's in Hopetown where she meets Jack and the Freedom Hawks, her only chance of escaping and finding Lugh is forming an alliance. The scenery is set as a dusty and dirty futuristic wasteland, governed by a selfish monarch who drugs his entire kingdom. The action is intense and severe and Saba is an unforgettable heroine. Check out the audiobook version, the unique dialect in the novel translates beautifully.
Annotation:Love story between a mermaid and angel, a little predictable and while the plot is unique, the premise is just plain wierd.
Annotation:Eve has been raised at the School, a place that claims to give girls the tools to be ready for society and educates them on the dangers of boys. When she finds out that the only thing after graduation is a life of breeding children for the kingdom that needs to be rebuilt after the plague, she runs away, escapes and leaves her friends behind. Once in the wild, she meets Caleb, the opposite of everything she has been taught about boys. Eve and her friend Arden have to find Califa, a sanctuary where they can be safe, even though Eve is hunted by the king to be his personal breeder. The chemistry between Caleb and Eve is real and comsumed by their incredible circumstances. This combination survival and dystopian tale is incredibly entertaining.
Annotation:After Will is left behind and Jacinda and her sister Tamra are forced back to the pride, Jacinda is depressed and missing Will. Cassian tries to comfort her, but the feelings just aren't there, and Tamra loves Cassian. When will finds the pride Jacinda again has to decide what this love is worth. When one of her own is trapped by the hunters, Jacinda, Tamra, Cassian and Will set out to rescue her.
Annotation:Jacinda is a Draki, a desendent from dragons. She is a rare fire-breather and works hard to keep her dragon hidden under human skin. Then she meets Will, a Draki hunter. How is it possible for a hunter to fall in love with his prey, and will Jacinda risk her kinds existence to be with him?
Annotation:Juliette is a monster, she can kill with a single touch of her skin. She horrfies even her parents and has lived the past year in a cell, all alone, a prisoner. When a cell mate named Adam appears in her cell one day, she knows he is from her past, the one boy who always was on her side, but it can't be him. They grow close in the cell together, and for some reason Adam is able to touch her without dieing. However, it is soon realized that Adam is a ploy, and the government wants to use Juliette as a torture tool on enemies. She refuses to be used as a tool, and together with Adam they escape. Really fast and enterntaining read, lots of steamy romance scence, but the writing is a little dramatic.
Annotation:Karou is a unique individual. She works for the Chimera, and Brimstone is her father. Then she meets Akiva, a fallen angel who is destined to destroy the only family she has ever known. But they don't count on falling in love, the don't count on finally finding each other, not being alone anymore. Really amazing writing, and a wonderful story that is sure to be an award winner, I'm looking forward to the next book.
Annotation:Mikey is a boy from the housing projects, working as a dishwasher in a pub to try and keep his fatherless family together. Ellie is a daughter from a privileged family whose biggest worry is passing her final exams. When Mikey's sister Karyn claims she was raped by Ellie's brother Tom at a party, Mikey cruelly plans to use Ellie to get close to Tom in order to exact revenge. Instead, the impossible happens: Mikey and Ellie fall in love
Annotation:William is dead, and has been for over 750 years. He periodically wakes up in his crypt and roams the earth before hibernating again. This time the year is 2011, and something doesn't feel right. He meets Eloise and can't shake the feeling that the meeting was destiny and that she somehow plays into his feelings of despair. His mission is to find the vampire that created him. With the help of two more friends they go searching him out, in hopes of ending Will's rerun life for good.
