Prenna James came to New York when she was twelve years old -- not from another place but from another time. Can she stop the future from going horribly wrong?

What a dorky book! Ann Brashares is, frankly, not a good author. The story was full of loose ends and inaccuracies, the characters were dull and flat, the story felt rushed, barely any backstory, the end was, though expected, disappointing and left me feeling like I wasted my time. A very pointless book.

It was written very simply and and the time travel parts were not as clear as they could have been. Otherwise it is a good, quick summer read that keeps you entertained.

Time travel is kind of confusing. This was pretty good, but the end was bad, how could she not be with Ethan?

Great book - although time travel stories always give me a huge headache. So many inaccuracies and confusing elements. (e.g. are they all going to die in this new time frame and then - be born again? So confusing). But I did like the story - I would read more if she writes another one.

"The popular author of The sisterhood of the traveling pants changes gears in this twisty, fast-moving time travel adventure. From the plague-ravaged Earth of 2098, Prenna and her community have travelled back to the present, hoping to prevent the planet's devastation before it happens. The community's strict rules forbid Prenna from getting too close to classmate and "Time Native" Ethan, but a bizarre prophecy throws the teens together in a desperate quest to thwart a murder and change humanity's destiny. Want to be swept up in another romantic race against the future? Try Cristin Terrill's All our yesterdays."
