Two individual stories are impacted and dangerously connected as Jean-Luc, a pastor from a small countryside village in Nazi-controlled France convicted of harboring Jews, and Jacob, a Jewish young adult from Germany who joins a resistance movement, join forces to survive and escape the Auschwitz-Birkenau death camp to expose the unchecked atrocities and mass murder to the world.

So good! First historical fiction read. my husband and I each read it in a few days because we were so captivated!

Very good read about a fictional story of escaping from Auschwitz. A page turner.

Very basic adventure story, with almost no character development and some truly unrealistic dialogue. The "hero", Jacob Weisz, was very whiny and immature. Meh.

Excellent Read. Never disappointed in his books.

This is not a World War I book

Great read! Character development was well done. Could not put it down.
