Item Details

A dangerous, escaped convict wanted by every bounty hunter in the known galaxy, Riddick has been left for dead on a sun-scorched planet that appears to be lifeless. Soon, however, he finds himself fighting for survival against alien predators more lethal than any human he's encountered. The only way off is for him to activate an emergency beacon and alert mercenaries who rapidly descend to the planet in search of their bounty. With time running out and a deadly storm on the horizon that no one could survive, his hunters won't leave the planet without Riddick's head as their trophy.

This movie was supposed to leave off where the other did, right? There is so much randomness to this film. It could have been produce on such a better level.

The key to liking this movie is to read all the negative reviews and have very low expectations. Yes, it is the worst of the 3 Riddick movies but it is watchable, the last 10 minutes is really bad though. The CGI is overall well done but at times it feels like the set was taken out of an old Star Trek set. Also one of my biggest pet peeves, when you have space ships, hover cycles etc, why would they be using guns?? Come on now, the Necromongers have cool ray guns shouldn’t the mercs? Also, using flashlights?? No cool night vision gear?? If you are into the Riddick movies and like sci-fi, you should be able tolerate this one.

Pitch Black II? Same-o same-o. It gets dark and only the, "glow in the dark eyes" guy can see the flesh eating creatures coming. Oh but hang on....wait....wait........................................................................................................................NADA!! I liked Pitch Black it was different and pretty good but this, this is awful. Blaah!

JEJUENG wrong again. The fast and furious are terrible movies that depend on fast cars & explosions to distract simple-minded viewers away from the fact that there really isn't a sophisticated story. This movie was great! I enjoyed Pitch Black more but was glad for the tie ins to both movies. So happy to see Katee Sackoff doing more cinema. I also enjoyed the creatures.

Third chapter with Riddick. Very nicely done to link to other movies. More like a flash back to Pitch Black...Personally I love Vin. So honestly he could do whatever and Id stil love it. But good range of identifyable side characters. Excellent ending where I was getting worried about his survival.

Skip It - Great sci fi landscapes and visuals but the story is so muddled that it was difficult to care for the lead.

A little disappointed with the plot. Too much of the movie time is spent battling with CGI creatures (done that in Pitch Black) instead of some good drama that would lead Riddick to decide to abandon his emperor post.
