Please. This was a weak remake of Carrie. Why could they not change it up/ spice it up? I felt I was watching the same movie with different faces. Should have watched the original.

Nice remake. The telekinetic coffee shop extra was a good one as well.

A fair remake of what had already been previously filmed twice. Sets the story in a modern settling, but retains much of what made the tale of Carrie White and her overly religious Mother the terrifying tale it's always been . While it doesnt hold a candle to Brian Depalma's original, it does avoid certain inconsistencies that audiences took issue with regarding the 2002 tv version. Chloe Grace Moretz and Jullianne Moore have such fine chemistry onscreen that you'd think they were in fact Mom and daughter. Every adaptation takes it's key liberties, however give this one a chance.

i can't believe i'm saying this, but it really wasn't that bad. I put off seeing it because i couldn't believe anyone would remake such a classic but there was some pretty awesome points in this... i like how they updated it (cyber bullying) and i really like how the ending was closer to the book than the original. But on the downside, i wish they would have done like they did in the seventies version and (my apologies to Ms. Spacek) and cast a more homely lead. It's hard to comprehend a doe eyes beauty as being the victim in this perticular story....

Better than I thought it would be. It's a good remake. Check it out.

Above average horror movie remake. Really not scary at all (but Chloe looked darn creepy during the prom scene). The telekinesis effects are not as good as you would like. The prom scene was kind of a pop when I expected a BANG. HOWEVER, the movie was well acted and stayed pretty true to the spirit of the original film. Did the movie need to be made? nah. Was it pretty good anyway? yep.

Unlike some others, I think that the casting was great. Chloe and Julianne were great in their roles as Carrie and her mother. I am glad that this version kept very close to the original storyline. Re-makes are never as good as the original, but this one was pretty darn close.

it was a wonder flim and i really enoyed it juliana moore and chloe moretz did a wonderful job great movie

Okay, if we could have had Sissy Spacek from the original and Julian Moore from this remake (and better "mean kids") we might have had a movie worth watching. It wasn't bad but just not quite good enough.
