Immigration This set has a New York City focus with one book about Angel Island in San Francisco. There are five copies of each book Ellis Island: New Hope in a New Land by William Jay Jacobs - Grade Level 3.8 Arriving at Ellis Island by Dale Anderson I cannot find a reading level for this book, but would guess at 4th or 5th grade Tenement : Immigrant Life on the Lower East Side by Raymond Bial - Grade Level 4 to 6 on Amazon 97 Orchard Street, New York: Stories of Immigrant Life by Linda Granfield - Grade 4 to 7 Immigrant Kids by Russell Freedman - Wonderful pictures of how dismal it was to live as an impoverished immigrant child in the early 1900's - Level Q Immigration to America: Identifying Different Points of View About an Issue - by Theresa Shea This looks to me like a 5th grade reading level. Angel Island (We The People series) by Alice K. Flanagan Reading Level 5 to 6, Level Z
