RIPD (the movie): If foreign words were used here in this movie, they were in and of the format pertaining to “one-liners” of the action oriented kind. In all sincerity and all seriousness, and after having filmed studied a number of shows and series, this story, RIPD, of the policed “deado world”, was a welcoming reprieve to my, as of late, tired spirit…and so if I were to contrast this viewing experience to the banter barrage of daily, audio-video series surveillance that would typically onslaught mine eyes and ears and mind, I would say, “at the very least it ended quickly and quite abruptly in around 90 minutes of mine own time.” Even if perchance this kind of archtype, this kind of template story might have been used in American pop culture recently, I still liked its core concept. I dunno what passes for American pop culture and news these days as I don’t study them; but from my remembering of what “zombie video games” and “zombie movies” pass for in terms of deadman’s dialogue, I suppose this particular script met that manner of a niche in a neatly, nicely, attempt. I appreciated the bold bravado attempt at another “Men in Black” like movie. In my life and in my line of laggardness, I watch mostly and mainly, many forms of anime and animation; so this sort of evaluation is generally a somewhat to a direly difficult decision for me to have make when regarding and respecting human-imaged performances and when they have human or humanoid looking like characters. In spite of there being some possible improvements in some scenes and in some potential areas of my choice and choosing, and for an “action film” and “zombie film”, I thought and felt it to be decently done and directed. And for that: Rating: 4.3/5.0; Xandor Who

This movie was funny and entertaining. For everyone complaining its like this movie or that movie, just sit back and enjoy something and quit being so judgemental.

I hadn't heard very good reviews, so I must admit to being pleasantly surprised by this movie. The acting was decent and it was entertaining, and if you like Men In Black you'll likely enjoy this one too.

Felt like they were trying to renew Men In Black, but it was still a fun watch.

Have you seen Men in Black? Have you seen The Avengers? If you have, then you've already seen this movie. The aliens from Men in Black are replaced with the "deados" in this movie, and the wormhole from The Avengers is replaced by the tunnel connecting the dead and living worlds. Disappointing.
