I found this movie interesting and suspenceful. It is an entertaining sci-fi survival tale. The issue of training oneself to live in the moment and see fear as a debilitating view of a possible future event is a point worth debating.

This movie is a lot like a play - taking time for character development and putting our hopes and fears on display for quite contemplation. This film slowly, richly unfolds - I found value in that. I watched this film three months back and am still moved by the following lines "Fear is not real. Danger is real; fear is a lie." For me, this was worth the whole movie.

While this is a good Movie I will add that the Paperback book that I read which is a Tie -in that explains the situation better I had to borrow it from the (King)county system(Libr.). Even without that supporting paperback there was some real nice scenery to it. This movie is also a good warning that We( I mean all of us)need to take better care of our Planet.

Some decent special effects and futuristic gadgets. I like to think that the young hero could have used an action partner to make the story more credible. It was too improbable that only the father and son survived during the space ship crash. Other than that, young Smith had done well as a young actor.

Plot had some inconsistencies, but I loved the father-son dynamic...Will struggling to open up to his son and Jaden doing his best to prove himself based on his perceived failings of the past.

The filming and editing was superb. However, I felt like I did when I first saw Alien and was yelling at the screen "Open the airlock!!!" Are you telling me that no-one is smart enough to even pick up a gun and shoot the monsters? They would rather be viciously murdered? Stupid premise. Obviously this is what happens when the authorities disarm the population. The director must be some kind of an anti-gun nuthead. And I haven't heard as much whining (from the son) since Luke Skywalker in the original Star Wars!

Horrible. No other way to say it, their are inconsistencies in the plot that are huge - if the aliens are attracted to pheromones why doesn't the future develop blockers also if the aliens are blind how do they find the dead humans to mutilate? They don't produce pheromones also when you are unconcious. Simply just stupid.

If you have this movie ON HOLD be sure to check and see if the dvd is inside. I waited 2 months and check out a empty container. Don't stuck for something you don't have.

Very good sci-fi action/adventure movie. So many negative reviews. I really liked it. The effects were cool. It wasn't boring to me. I liked the father son dynamic with Will and Jaden. I'm not looking for Oscar performances here. Like Mark Hamill was Ben Kingsley in Star Wars? I think this would score highest with teens who could imagine themselves in the situation Lil Smith is put into.

Cypher Raige: Fear is not real. The only place that fear can exist is in our thoughts of the future. It is a product of our imagination, causing us to fear things that do not at present and may not ever exist. That is near insanity Kitai. Do not misunderstand me, danger is very real, but fear is a choice. We are all telling ourselves a story and that day mine changed.
