I LOVE the real black family promotion in this otherwise just another extreme GLOBAL WARMING propaganda,MK ULTRA brainwash, behavior placement, predictive program.

God-awful flick unless you're a 8-year old. OK Plot; bad acting; ridiclous dialogue. This is just another attempt by Will Smith to put (son) Jaden out there and "show off" his talents. At some point, Hollywood nepotism has to be brought to heel and give other struggling child actors a chance.

A decent sci-fi flick. I didn't realize until the end credits that it was directed by M. Night Shyamalan, who seems to have lost his golden touch in recent years. Will Smith does a great job, as always, while his son Jaden's performance is decent.

I especially enjoyed the visual effects. The architecture and spacecraft had an organic, futuristic feel and the future technology was believable and pretty cool.

Piece of fluff movie to promote Jaden Smith. He is given everything on a silver platter so he doesn't have to earn his stripes to get a lead role in a big screen movie. Might be a good kid but acting isn't one of his talents.

Should be on a Double-Feature with Plan 9 From Outer Space. Who's the nut job that listed this horror as a "Must See Sci-Fi"?

I enjoyed this film. I liked the attention given to earth's landscape/occupants and was enthused by the settled planet's architecture. I like the diversity of the cast and I loved young Smith's performance. I recommend this film for the tweens and young adults.

This movie is a lot like a play - taking time for character development and putting our hopes and fears on display for quite contemplation. This film slowly, richly unfolds - I found value in that. I watched this film three months back and am still moved by the following lines "Fear is not real. Danger is real; fear is a lie." For me, this was worth the whole movie.

While this is a good Movie I will add that the Paperback book that I read which is a Tie -in that explains the situation better I had to borrow it from the (King)county system(Libr.). Even without that supporting paperback there was some real nice scenery to it. This movie is also a good warning that We( I mean all of us)need to take better care of our Planet.

Horrible. No other way to say it, their are inconsistencies in the plot that are huge - if the aliens are attracted to pheromones why doesn't the future develop blockers also if the aliens are blind how do they find the dead humans to mutilate? They don't produce pheromones also when you are unconcious. Simply just stupid.
