Sadly, this was a very disappointing movie to watch. The previews seemed interesting...but that's about all it had going for it as far as its storyline went. Lots of confusion, lots of unnecessary character elements, and just plain boringness and idiocy by its "grand" ending.
The only redeeming aspect of this movie for me was Isla Fisher's hotness...which could've / should've been more.

The first 1 hour was interesting and then this movie goes downhill fast. Stupid story line, absurd magic tricks and so unbelievable that you were waiting for aliens to land and rescue humanity. Watchable but don’t

This was engaging at times, but I'd agree with those who say "don't waste your time" and that the chase scenes go on too long....waaaay too long. Lots of unbelievable hype and illusions, completely incredible "solution" towards the end. And what was that bit at the very end, after/during the credits, when the illusionists are driving through the desert and come to a ghost carnival (or something)....was that supposed to be setting us up for a sequel? Mostly unsatisfactorily mystifying. I expect more from Mark Ruffalo. Sigh.

Entertaining but kind of insults the viewer's intelligence. Especially after the plot twist.

Cute tricks and twists. The logic of the plot is sometimes strained.

I'll be upfront. There are a few problems. The plot for example. Difficult to follow. And at times unrealistic, mostly that is due to the part played by Woody Harrelson. Add to that too much time devoted to chase scenes, leaving not enough for needed character development. It's hard to say about the quality of the acting. The actors seem to be simply providing a presence, an instantiation of the role the screenwriter wants to exist. That's about it. Otherwise, there isn't much opportunity in the movie for the actors to display much in the way of acting talents. That said, it's still a fun movie about magic. A movie to just sit back and mindlessly enjoy, while munching on some popcorn. Reservedly recommended.
