The ending is so sad!!! I don't want to make any spoilers for you guys out there who haven't read it though. But I recommended this series to all my friends and they all loved it, just one of them started to call Veronica Roth a murderer..... I've read the series over and over again!!! You have to read it.

Very Insteresting book I Have ever read people who have not read this book I reccommend

A finale to a trilogy that is both hard to take, yet true to the characters and ideas throughout the series. The questions underlying the dystopia are interesting and ones we might be asking ourselves soon.

I don't know why everyone is upset about the ending. It was more realistic and believable than the whole 'Tris saves everything and makes it out alive' thing that mostly every author does with their main character in a novel series. Personally, I think Veronica Roth did an excellent job with the ending, and the whole trilogy even. It was a fast-paced book and there were hardly any 'boring' parts. The ending may have been sad, but it was more unidealized.

Slow moving at times, but still a page turner. I'm just not a fan of the ending and keep thing how I would've ended this series.

Not a fan of the switching between Tris' and Four's points of view. Felt a little sea sick with it as a reader. The series has some neat ideas, but they are developed poorly - which makes it standard young adult fare, rather the masterpiece it could have been.

So not on any level with the first two...yes I absolutely hated the ending because it made no sense...but the whole book read rush to end the story and veered off in too many directions. I wish I had read a spoiler before I read this book, just glad I borrowed it so I didn't waste any money on it. Time I cannot get back.

seen the movie divergent, it was quite good, the second one comes out next year, i read a summary of the 3rd book, im not going to be thrilled with the ending am i?

I'm definitely not a fan of these series. Veronica Roth spoiled the Divergent series by wasting time on the stupid, the bad, and the ugly. But I have to say that she's very creative and original --something hard to find in young first-time authors.

I agree with reviewer monicarp: I was let down by the ending. I hoped it would be a big "mission accomplished" sort of ending, like in the Hunger Games, but it wasn't. But I also agree that it's the only ending that fits. However sad or disappointing it may be, it makes sense.

The faction-based society that Tris Prior once believed in is shattered—fractured by violence and power struggles and scarred by loss and betrayal. So when offered a chance to explore the world past the limits she’s known, Tris is ready. Perhaps beyond the fence, she and Tobias will find a simple new life together, free from complicated lies, tangled loyalties, and painful memories. But Tris’s new reality is even more alarming than the one she left behind. Old discoveries are quickly rendered meaningless. Explosive new truths change the hearts of those she loves. And once again, Tris must battle to comprehend the complexities of human nature—and of herself—while facing impossible choices about courage, allegiance, sacrifice, and love. Told from a riveting dual perspective, Allegiant, by #1 New York Times best-selling author Veronica Roth, brings the Divergent series to a powerful conclusion while revealing the secrets of the dystopian world that has captivated millions of readers in Divergent and Insurgent. - See more at: http://ottawa-summer-2014.bibliocommons.com/item/show/747000026#sthash.3o8hoUIX.dpuf

A new life has begun for the people who live by factions. Secrets are told lies are uncovered. Nothing is fair anymore and worst of all people are dying.
