An interesting look at the historical background to Jesus' life and times, from a non-Christian perspective. Well researched and well worth reading.

Embarassed that I enjoyed a Bill O'Reilly book. Not being a FOX new viewer I forgot who the author was when I picked this book to read. But found the non-evangelical tone appealing. Much of the historical detail the authors chose to include was disturbing to say the least, however.

Fascinating read. Thought I could stop reading, but read the book through. Well researched, unbiased and a fresh and different perspective. Well done.

I closed this book after 70 pages. Maybe I was expecting more after reading "Killing Lincoln".

Superbly-written, objective and with lots of research, evocative and succeeded in elevating it to a credible history book. This makes it a very interesting read that's hard to put down.

I found I couldn't put this book down. I really enjoyed the larger historical context surrounding the life of Jesus. Well-researched and laid out. Was a page turner for me.

This book does a great job of putting the life of Jesus - and those around him - into context. Unbiased, well-researched, very readable.
