I must say that this movie was good but then again it could have been much better, the story-line was very predictable as several of you had said and the screen-play was way-off of what the book indicates happened. All in all I liked this movie alot more than I had anticipated I would. I put up a stinck about even watching this movie but my sister insisted we have a movie night so we did.

Not the lead cast's best film but well done anyways. E for effort. :)

After the TWILIGHT film phenomenon, there were several films that looked to cash in on the popularity of the series. This does have it's simularities, albeit done in a different manner with the subject being witches (or Casters as this one calls them) as opposed to the vampires of TWILIGHT! As a standout movie, this was an enjoyable and at times lovely film to look at from a cinematographic standpoint. I liked the onscreen chemistry of the two leads, and in her favor, at least Emily Rossum knows how to emote in her acting, unlike the more well known Kirsten Stewart, so that's a plus in her favor. Granted, this movie isnt great, but I could think of worse films.

Better than I thought. Very well acted. And my personal favorite....common sense was used! Yay! So despite the predicable plot, I did enjoy it.

I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. Emmy Rossum stole all of her scenes and I'll probably watch this again before I return it. MUCH more enjoyable than the Twilight films.

very good

Okay everyone, listen up. There seems to be a lot of different opinions about this movie. I am here to put everything to rest. For all of you that say this movie is better than Twilight, you are wrong. Twilight is a cultural phenomenon. Yes, that's right, a cultural PHENOMENON! The sooner you all get that into your heads the better. This average, supernatural love flick belongs on Earth with all the other mundane films. Twilight is above Earth. Twilight is above Olympus and Valhalla. It is higher than the highest peak of Mt. Everest. Twilight, (and the other books in the breathtaking saga), are in an entire league of their own, and nothing, I repeat nothing, can compare. Especially not this Witch movie. I mean come on really people. I'm sick of all this black and white good vs. evil. I crave the multitudes of shades of gray that lie in between. Twilight is not a simple black and white, it depicts the grays that we all experience in our daily life. That is a true story. That is what plucks those fragile strings of our hearts. Not Beautiful Creatures. Beautiful Creatures, at it's best, will be a fun flick for a late night "hangin' out" sesh with a few odd friends. But, the emotional impact of Beautiful Creatures pales in comparison to that of the Twilight saga. I recommend you all watch Beatutiful Creatures, enjoy it, forget about it, and then pick up the Twilight saga. For Twilight is exponentially better than any other type of media on the market. Trust me, I know what I'm talking about.

I was shocked to see that people actually enjoyed this movie. The adaptations they made from the book changed the story line completely. It wasn't interesting and the lead character's accent was terrible. Especially since he isn't supposed to have much of an accent in the story in the first place. It was nearly unwatchable.

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this movie. The script was excellent and the acting was better than expected. This movie is much better than any in the Twilight series. The two leads were engaging and seemed to have good chemistry.

Lena Duchannes: I could hear the sound. The sound was me breaking. I cried because he had lived, because he had died. I was shattered. I was saved. I only knew the girl I was, was gone. He was right. No good could come from loving a mortal. They can't survive our world. Get out, Ethan; go. Claim yourself. in defiance, in hope, in love, in fury, in gratitude. Claim the light. Claim the dark, Claim it all. Nothing can stay.
