Simon and Schuster
The sequel you’ve been waiting for: the follow-up to the sensational #1 bestseller The Devil Wears Prada.

Almost a decade has passed since Andy Sachs quit the job “a million girls would die for” working for Miranda Priestly at Runway magazine—a dream that turned out to be a nightmare. Andy and Emily, her former nemesis and co-assistant, have since joined forces to start a highend bridal magazine. The Plunge has quickly become required reading for the young and stylish. Now they get to call all the shots: Andy writes and travels to her heart’s content; Emily plans parties and secures advertising like a seasoned pro. Even better, Andy has met the love of her life. Max Harrison, scion of a storied media family, is confident, successful, and drop-dead gorgeous. Their wedding will be splashed across all the society pages as their friends and family gather to toast the glowing couple. Andy Sachs is on top of the world. But karma’s a bitch. The morning of her wedding, Andy can’t shake the past. And when she discovers a secret letter with crushing implications, her wedding-day jitters turn to cold dread. Andy realizes that nothing—not her husband, nor her beloved career—is as it seems. She never suspected that her efforts to build a bright new life would lead her back to the darkness she barely escaped ten years ago—and directly into the path of the devil herself...

Read this book because I saw the first as a movie; the plot is good but the writer's style is that of a screen writer--all action and dialogue; immature style. Did the author assume it would become a movie and save them the re-write??

I thought I would have enjoyed this book as much as the first one, but it was not to be. Just reading the first couple of chapters was enough. Shame really.

Had to abandon reading this sequel. The first few chapters were slow, boring, not very well written and didn't seem to be going anywhere. Characters not very likeable , not even the heroine. A wasted opportunity for a great sequel to Devil Wears Prada.

I expected the sequel to "The Devil Wears Prada" to be full of high drama, high fashion, high heels, and, of course, a larger-than-life Miranda Priestly. Majorly disappointed on all counts. The first 300 pages are boring, syrupy, sentimental, useless filler. This book did not deliver.

I kept waiting for the revenge plot to start and it never did. Feel as though the title is misleading. The book was fine but I agree that Andy is highly unlikable. Actually, all the characters are pretty unlikable.

Boring and the main characters were shallow. No real humor or plot.

I thought this book was slow during the beginning, but the ending totally made up for it. I really enjoyed this book!!!

i enjoyed this book. not as much as the first one but it was pretty good. i was surprised though by her divorce. why did weisberger have to bring this in for more excitement? i can give her some ideas....

I've been waiting for this book for a year but after skimming through the first chapter, I've completely lost interest. It is poorly written, and very disappointing considering how good the first book was. Weisberger put no effort in this.

The revenge wears Prada(The Devil returns) - this title leads one to believe that Miranda Priestly returns in all her nasty avatar and Andy takes revenge. If anything, Miranda is conspicuous by her absence. One realizes then what an impact she'd made in "The devil wears Prada." The book rambles on and on with events taking a long time to pan out exactly as the reader would probably imagine; no twist in the tale whatsoever. But for the fact that it is the sequel to a bestseller and a hit movie this book has nothing to offer.
