“Boy Nobody” is a spy thriller and a dark glimpse into the psyche of an unusual protagonist. As emotions surge forth and unfamiliar memories bubble to the surface, we find ourselves getting pulled into the mind and motivations of this character even when we shudder at his actions. It takes a skilled writer to manage that feat and Mr. Zadoff delivers.

This is a book that makes for uneasy yet absorbing reading. As an exploration of the shady heart of national security, a role that requires espionage, infiltration and assassination, “Boy Nobody” takes us into perilous waters where it’s never clear who the bad guy is or who will come out alive. It could also serve as a cold-blooded primer on how to hit someone merely to wound or to kill, where to stand if you’re going to fight or how to take on multiple assailants or armed combatants. Of course, the average citizen isn’t likely to need such tactics or even u se them successfully against trained professionals—but wouldn’t it be fun to know how?

Fans of spy thrillers will really get a kick out of this novel. But anybody who craves depth and edginess in their characters will relish it, too.

I worked my way through this book quickly. It is sparsely written, in keeping with the main character's situation - nothing extra, no feelings, "Just the facts". Although the premise is a little farfetched, it is well presented and keeps you guessing along with the narrator. Recommended.

"His name is always changing. He can't remember his past. Trained by the mysterious Program to be an undercover assassin, all he cares about is the mission. For this particular mission, his name is Ben, and his target is the mayor of New York. But when Ben meets the mayor's gorgeous daughter Sam, he suddenly finds himself questioning the Program and his own identity. The tension amps up at lightning speed in this high-octane page-turner bursting with thrilling action and awesome spy technology. If you like the Jason Bourne movies or Alex Rider books, you should definitely pick up Boy Nobody, but be prepared - it's only the 1st in a planned series." September 2013 Teen Scene newsletter

This is a well-written suspense novel, but based upon the super-creepy premise of training a teenager to be a pscyopath. So many books in the YA category portray the heroine or hero (main character) as a sociopath or trained psychopath - - it is really disturbing. Maybe those articles which mirror the novel by Dean Koontz titled, "Relentless" should be perused quite closely? Five stars for the writing; one-half star for the premise of this book. (In the adult category we see the same thing with many of the novels by Thomas Perry, with the sociopathic killer more or less stumbles into it? And is heroically or sympathetically portrayed?)

Action packed, thriling, and FUN! I loved this book. There is a great deal of suspense, and it's really cool to see how Boy Nobody handled the tech. (His iPhone is wicked). There is also a great mystery and the ending was awesome and shocking. I totally recommend this book if you want something kickass and entertaining. There's also a great female character in Sam that will totally take you by surprise.
