Texas Chainsaw
In 1974, townspeople hunted down and killed every member of the Sawyer family for committing a series of grisly murders. Decades later and hundreds of miles away, a young woman learns that she has inherited a Texas estate from a grandmother she never knew she had. She finds she is the sole owner of a lavish, isolated Victorian mansion. But her newfound wealth comes at a price as she stumbles upon a horror that awaits her in the mansion's dank cellars.

What do you get when you cross the original Texas Chainsaw (1974) and the original Halloween (1978) with slight peppering of original Psycho (1960)...this piece of poo which is an embarrassment to those three classics. Problem number one, we are supposed to believe the college age 20 something was born, or at least an infant in 1974....ummm math is not the writers strong point. If they would have concentrated more on building a better story and less at focusing on the leads belly it may have actually been half decent. But unfortunately it is not even one sixteenth decent.

def not the best of the TCM movies, I thought the "beginning" one with Jordana Brewster was one of the best, most gory, most scary etc.........this one was just OK, if you go into knowing what to expect, the beginning is pretty good, the rest is pretty predictable. I don't think the lead girl owned a bra.....just saying.

This wasn't the worst movie I've ever seen, it is far from being good. I fast forwarded a lot but not all the way. Just another shootem up bangem up move. Very predictable.

This was just a mediocre slasher movie. Pretty much a forgettable cast, forgettable performances, and forgettable storyline. I preferred the 2003 Texas Chainsaw Massacre with Jessica Biel. It has much better action sequences, better actors, better performances, and a much better script. I wouldn't bother watching this 2013 film, unless you absolutely just have to watch every TCM film that ever gets made. In the extras for this current 2013 film, they indicated that several of the actors were contracted for possible further films in the TCM franchise....I sure hope that doesn't happen, cause I don't really want to see these same actors again.

Firstly, Alexandra Daddario is a very pretty girl with a bright future IF she gets the right part. She really shines in this as the female lead. HOWEVER, this is slasher drivel. Nothing new here. The characters do their ignorant best to get slaughtered. Buzz Buzz Buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Yeah. Watch the original. Watch the remake. Don't watch this unless you feel you just have to.
