Parker is based on a Richard Stark novel Flashfire that is one of the later Parker stories. As a movie adoptation of a Stark novel is not to bad. It of course is retooled to be more of an action flick and most of the main characters are in the movie that were in the book even the Jennifer Lopez character. Where it falls short is Parker and Claire he's woman. Niehter one are like what the movie shows you. Parker is a ruthless man and he's rules such as avoiding violence when he can is because of trouble it might breing, also Claire is not soft either, she is more or less an ex-conartist. They are not big with the I love you but still somehow you know they do. If you are look for a good action flick this movie is alright, as Parker movie it's not too bad, but know it makes Parker soft.

Whoa, Parker is some kind of guy! (Poor Jennifer Lopez, she really never had a chance!) I have to say, this movie is perhaps just an introduction to Donald E. Westlake stories for me. I am looking forward to tasting them. From the comments on his books, it looks like it will be quite a feast! I must say, I did not know who Jason Statham was until this movie, but I certainly loved him in this role. His "non-action" acting was just as good as the "action" stuff. (I like those long facial pauses, where you wonder just exactly "what is he thinking!")

A very smart, well done action movie. Somewhat reminded me of Payback with Mel Gibson, but much better.

i really enjoy this movie..

It’s not terrible…but there is really nothing special about this action flick.

Below average Jason Statham movie. Bad acting, awkward script, nonsensical storyline, some so-so action, and JLo on display. It's a filler movie that you watch to kill time. You won't remember much about it, or care to, afterwards.

This movie does nothing for any of its leads. If anything, JLo just embarrasses herself and Jason Statham plays...Jason Statham. Michael Chiklis is a loud one dimensional villain. Pass on this one.
