Slow at first and predictable, but it grew on me. The multimedia touches, like receipts, playlists, etc. were fun. This book captures the feel of a road trip well and is a decent substitute for a real trip for when you can't just take a road trip yourself.

Such a great book! The characters are fully developed, the plot is great, and although it starts off slow, it quickly picks up and you wont be able to put it down! There is aperfect amount of romance, really awesome elements like postcards, pictures, and playlists (music that is completely fit for a road trip!), and really good and realistic elements. The ending is great and realistic, too. This book is honestly so good!

An incredibly amazing trip. The story made me know that everyone can't what exactly gonna be happening next.Just be okay with. Impressive book.

Great road trip book with some emotional heft to it as well. Perfect summer reading!

From the back cover of Amy and Roger's Epic Detour... " It wouldn't be a road trip without some detours... Amy Curry is not looking forward to the summer. Her mother decided to move across the country and now it's Amy's responsibility to get their car from California to Connecticut. The only problem is, since her father died in a car accident, she isn't ready to get behind the wheel. Enter Roger. An old family friend, he also has to make the cross-country trip--and has plenty of baggage of his own. The road home may be unfamiliar--especially with their friendship venturing into uncharted territory--but together, Amy and Roger will figure out how to map their way."
