No one is that smart... even Alex Cross. Sorry Mr. Perry, but you should stick to comedy. Whoever directed this movie needs a "refresher" course in movie making... the fight scene in the end with the camera shaking doesn't add any value.

An entertaining and fast moving actioner. Tyler Perry made Morgan Freeman's previous portrayals look digniified and stiff ! Edward Burns was great as the 'sidekick'. And as the 'bad guy', Fox was formidable and sinister. (However, the last Big Fight scene was so 'jerky-cam' and ill-lit you could hardly follow it!) But over-all the action was delivered,.. and it was worth the long wait at the NYPL. Hope they make more of this excellent writer's books into movies.

Above average action movie. Tries to be more than an action movie, but fails. Perry does an ok job in an action role. Too many loose ends and unanswered questions here. Not nearly enough emotion shown for the events that go down. Fox plays a good psycho. Judged just on the action, though, the movie kept my interest.

Definitely not Tyler Perry's type to play action movie. He screwed up on this one. Too much violence. I love TP but he should stick with Madea. Not a good movie after all. But Cicely Tyson was great as usual.

Not having seen any Cross movies with Morgan Freeman I thought this was well acted and your typical thriller -type movie. I do think I enjoy the books more as you don't have all the violence in your face the same. I still think the Brits do these movies/series the best!

Morgan Freeman is one of my favorite actors so if you're expecting something on par with his movies as Dr. Alex Cross...keep looking.

Horrible script and Perry is no Morgan Freeman.

I wish I had my 90 minutes back.

Matthew Fox, Cissely Tyson, Edward burns absolutely superb in this film!! They saved the movie!!

Mr. Madea aka Tyler Perry killed my respect for anyone else who made this film, including the person who decided to cast this IDIOT to fill Morgan Freeman's shoes as Alex Cross.

I love Alex Cross. He is the man!! But Tyler you killed me throughout the whole movie. PLEASE I beg Tyler Perry to stick with comedy. LEARN to act and do at least 10 drama films before you try to take on Freeman's shoes. Tyler Perry ruined the movie for me. He can't act to save his life.

They could've used anyone BUT TYLER PERRY. There's tons of better actors. Let's hope he won't be back for part 2.

The Books was much better. It was O.K for a home TV movie. I was entertained and interesting. But it was NOT worth the long library wait or the price to rent from a Red Box.
