Interesting but not one of my favorites.

"A tale loosely inspired by Robert Lowell and Flannery O'Connor which traces the intense friendship and literary bond shared by two mid-20th-century New York writers through an exchange of letters that explores their respective writing forms and beliefs about faith, passion and the nature of acceptable sacrifice." Inspired by the lives of fiction writer Flannery O'Connor and poet Robert Lowell, this epistolary novel is set in the 1950s and explores a literary friendship and, briefly, a love affair between its two strong-willed protagonists. An elegant, insightful novel. LauraADPPL/WeAreSpartacus
