Honestly I wasn't expecting much from this movie- the trailers made it seem like it had hardly any storyline. However after watching it I can say I was pleasantly surprised. It's not in the category of Toy Story or Monsters Inc, but it is still fun to watch. There would be some scary scenes for younger children but it should be fine for 5 years old and older.

There are some things about this film that I like and some I don't. I like some funny parts and some great songs. But I don't like, like Mordu, the bear. So this isn't exactly my favourite Disney-Pixar movie ever.

OK, so, by now the name PIXAR is well known for children's animated movies. Think Toy Story (and the succeeding 2 movies), Cars (and the sequel), Finding Nemo, and many many others. When I watched this, I seriously wasn't expecting much. My family didn't like the whole witch-craft thing, so I didn't see this until WAY after it first came out. By the end, it just felt..."eh." I mean, as I read in another review (somewhere...), this movie just wasn't as good as other Pixar films. NOTHING in comparison with the greats. The story had PROMISE, and the idea of a movie set in Ireland was very interesting. But the characters were a bit...bland? Merida was ok, but she annoyed me a bit. Her mum was ok but we never really explored her that much. Her brothers (which, may I say, don't get a talking line in the entire movie) were kind of pointless. And the big climax character of Mor'du wasn't as BIG as you thought it would be. The story seemed very rushed. All in all, not horrible but definitely NOT my favorite.

Could not get this movie to work

Disney’s Brave: Brave was brave and bold… this simply sure and simply told. A family film with inviting spirit that would literally and figuratively showcase sapient spirit. Brave was a funny, affable, and unforgettable flick. At present moment, I don’t willingly wish to make much mention of my feral feelings and tinkering thoughts per this movie as I wouldn’t be able to do it as much justice as I feel and think it would deserve. So, in the meandering moments of said moments of mine, in this real-time, I will say at the briefest and as little laconically at the most… Bravo, Brave. Oh, and another note not escaping my notice was of the woman narrator’s voice depicting Brave’s characters, scenes, and story plot; having her voice as movie’s extra feature, turned on, this I thought made Brave’s already tailored script and picturesque scenes seem more legendary,.. as like legendary story… telling of its legendary story self thru other legendary story legends of self. Or something like that. One final note: In the Extras Section of said movie, Brave… there in contains… what I believe to be a nice, relatively short, cartoon shorty. Brave: a beautiful bravado of tale told, it being about a blossoming, young girl in an age and epoch of old. Rating: 5.0/5.0; Xandor Who
