As head of the US Federal Insurance Deposit Insurance Corporation the author saw first hand the moral depravity and laxity of those in regulatory authority, and witnessed the results of the sustained effort to desparage and demoralize dedicated civil servancts mandated to protect the consumer. Even at the worst, at least one bank CEO was more concerned about his 'bonus' than the health of the whole ecomony. She calls on main street to harness wall street -- unfortunatly, she kind of forgets its the US Congress which has seemingly turned rogue and forgotton any, but their own interests.
