Snow White is the only person in the land fairer than the evil queen who is out to destroy her. But what the wicked ruler never imagined is that the young woman threatening her reign has been training in the art of war with a huntsman who was dispatched to kill her.

Add a CommentI was looking forward to watch this movie, but... Scenery was too dark and depressing for younger viewers to watch. This is the saddest version I watched.
I do like medieval/fantasy flicks. This one? Meh. Mediocre. Rudimentary. Puerile. Will I watch the rumored sequel? Yup, probably.
A re-telling of the Snow White myth on CGI steroids. Its not Lord of he Rings,.. but the story re-imagination, action, effects, costumes, and Theron... kept me entertained, if not 'enchanted'. Glad they had the big bucks for the attempt. Hope they'll try to make another,.. again,.. and again. I love the genre !
So… this movie has action, fights, cool monsters and a cute huntsman. But it still managed to be rather a bust. It pretty much lost me before I even got through the rather lengthy introduction to the story and then never really did anything to get me back. The people weren’t interesting enough and the plot not compelling enough to get me to really care about anyone. Snow White is locked up all her life but within hours of getting out is sword fighting with the best of them. And I don’t know whose idea it was for Charlize Theron to do whatever she was doing with her voice but it was not a good idea. I don’t know what it was supposed to be and I just found it annoying and distracting. And the big climatic scene at the end wasn’t climatic and the big dramatic line that was delivered wasn’t dramatic and left me waiting for something else that just never came. Not one of my favorites.
This movie put me into a rage when they go to storm the castle. If you pay attention there are about 15 people trying to take over a castle. Spend some money for more extras or CGI them in.
I suppose the effects are OK. And the movie isn't completely boring. Chris Hemsworth is OK in it too. Other then that though, not much going for it. The story is silly, the action not well directed, and of course whats-her-face from twilight can't act her way out of a box. They need to stop redoing these fairy tales. Although if they ever adopt the Fables graphic novel series, I'm there!
This is not a fairy tale. This is also not an epic movie. Good special effects but acting is sub-par at best. Snow White wearing armor? Ridiculous!!!
Imaginative dark version of the Snow White fairy tale with great special effect and elaborate costumes.
Not a fan of Kristen Stewart but the movie was better then I expected!
I was pleasantly surprised by this movie! I was a little leery seeing as it is Kirsten Stewart as the lead.. But she was pretty good in her role. Overall, it was a cool, different take on the Snow White "fairy-tale". Not really for the younger audience.. It was pretty well done. I was not expecting a whole lot from this movie, but like I said, pleasantly surprised. I would watch it again.
