I thought the best part of the book was Ms Parker's theory. I wasn't too fond of how Amy was in love with Alexander and then they live happily ever after either but I'm at least there isn't a sad ending. My least favorite character in the book was Chrissy. She's disrespectful,self-centered and obnoxious.

At first, I didn't like the idea of this book. I'm not one for romantic-vampire books but this book surprised me, the book wasn't all that bad. The plot changes made sense and I understood everything, although Mrs. Parker's theory was a little far-fetched. I also found that Amy as a character was a little cliche and I found her sister unbelievably stupid.

For me, this book is so-so. Not amazing but not terrible either. Maybe it's just cause I'm not that into romance and vampires but I loved the action component of it.

i liked this book but it didn't stand out to me as one of the best red maple books. It was about hot vampires so i'm sure a lot of girls who are into that stuff loved it but i'm not into that stuff so it didn't effect me with such a strong force. Through out the book, you come to love Alexander and i liked that component of the book, but the story line was a little typical and predictable. I liked that it was a book within a book, and it's a dream come true for me if one of my favorite books was reality. I'd like to believe Ms. Parker's theory on alternate dimensions, but it's so hard to believe there are real Shadow hunters out there or Hogwarts.... I'm like Amy in a way that i'm more attracted to Alexander than to James because he had more substance and is so interesting to talk to, and James is just sweet. I'd read the sequel if there is one because they leave a bit of a cliffhanger with how Hannah must take over in the Otherworld Chicago.

Cool Author Fact: As a kid, ALLISON VAN DIEPENA enjoyed movies more than books. Some of her faves include The Terminator and Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure

I really loved this book, I couldn't put it down. I alway read books before I buy them. I'm buying this one.
