Cute, little teddy bears aside, Dr. Seuss's original story wasn't a romance, at all. And, yet, out of what I think is disrespect, Hollywood has clearly disregarded this story's intended innocence and re-imagined The Lorax through the silly, starry-eyed motivations of pure selfishness as a naive, 12 year-old boy goes well out of his way to impress a very ordinary girl whom he doesn't even know._____ This is a very heavy-handed, message-oriented movie that completely demonizes corporate culture as being the blackest of the black - While at the same time it shamelessly white-washes the environmental movement as being the whitest of the white._____ Unfortunately, this sort of outcome is what one would expect to happen whenever you take a short, children's story, and, without any real insight, try to realize it into a feature-length film._____ This risk of losing the genuine charm of the original tale inevitably gets completely lost in the transition. And this is what I believe happened with The Lorax._____ I doubt that Dr. Seuss would be very impressed with this unsatisfactory adaptation of his story.

Beautiful movie with a tremendously important message behind it. Perfectly executed with humour and not in an overly preachy way. Enjoyable for adults and children alike. I loved Betty White as the grandmother and the "bottled air" was brilliant satire. Hopefully this film provokes us all to think a little greener in some way or another. Let's all do our best to ensure the plastic tree movement doesn't actually happen!

I didn't care for the movie at all. I t made oppurtunists Look kike bad people. Yes, I agree that there is such thing as going to far, but God gave us these resoures to use. This was 2 thumbs-down.

I enjoyed this movie. I couldn't immerse myself into the storyline, however, I did find it funny and it had a great message. I really hope it inspires kids to think a little greener.

I didn't think of The Lorax as a children's tale- except for the bright colors and characters- could small children really understand the story. The environmental storyline was meaningful- was I the only one that cried at the death of trees?

This movie has a great message. It's not the best kids movie out there, but I appreciated them trying!

This movie was entertaining and interesting but not one of my favorite for this year. “Not too bad---good performance”. "I fast forwarded a lot but not all the way.”
