Add a CommentI recommend this series for anyone who like sci-fi. You can tell Spielberg had a hand in this, a well written story, majestic music, decent acting and CGI. Some of the scenes are dialogue & has a lot of military involvement but I especially appreciate the importance of family & the small simple things in life. It really makes you think of how much we have & how much we could lose if any kind of apocalyptic situation had befallen the world. 8/10 stars
It was O.K for a home TV movie. I was entertained and interesting. But it was NOT worth the long library wait or the price to rent from a Red Box. I fast forwarded a lot but not all the way.
I got through 20 minutes of it and am pretty sure I don't like it. I don't wanna look at Noah Wylie's pointed, almost harlequin-like, aquiline nose for an entire season. Plus, I don't wanna get all wrapped up in the drama. I want sci-fi, with thought provoking material. Not another soap opera with a sci-fi setting.
Quite disappointed - gave up after 2.5 episodes. About the same quality as the remake of the V series (not great). So the aliens have total air superiority and superior weapons but never use that to attack encampments of humans lit up at night with camp fires?? And all the guns must be a great ad for the NRA.
An extremely well written show, with good acting. Unlike most of the science fiction series this one has a good plot, and developed characters.
The first season of Falling Skies follows one of many group of humans that have banded together to fight an alien invasion. The initial alien invasion killed most of humanity and destroyed most of Earth's infrastructure and essential utilities. The aliens are spider like creatures that use gigantic robots to help them kill or capture humans. The surviving humans use whatever means available to fight the aliens and prevent an alien takeover of Earth.
Watched it all in one day and was satisfied with the results. Entertaining and heart breaking in some scenes. Anger towards the backstabbing in it for themselves criminals and cowards. Some humanity need not survive. Who needs them?
Exciting blend of survival and alien invasion tv show. Not as much action as I would have thought, but still quite a bit. I blazed through the series, and it kept my attention throughout. Sort of Jericho meets Battleground:Los Angelos. The acting is good enough. It felt like they were sort of having a hard time deciding where the story was headed at times. Cliffhanger ending. I liked, but didn't love, this show. Definitely worth a viewing if you like sci fi/alien invasion movies/shows. The action and the effects were pretty darn good.
This show is actually nice and cool. I can imagine how our world would be like if we were actually abducted by aliens. One word, scary O.o but if you watch this show , you will probably be prepared for these kinds of things LOL
