Add a CommentLoved this film. The setting is in Tasmania, which is not often seen in movies of any kind in North America. The story is the search for an endangered/extinct species and the ruthless pharmaceutical companies that want the exclusive rights to the DNA of those species. It is a little slow moving without a lot of dialog and action but was suitable for this movie. It did have a few unexpected things and I didn't really like the way it ends, but considering the "hero" and the "villains" I guess it was fitting. I would definitely watch it again.
Excellent movie and visually beautiful. Willem Dafoe is brilliant as usual.
Beautiful cinematography. great acting on the part of Willem Dafoe. However, the story line is a little weak. The children are the true heros of the movie.
Dafoe is Dafoe. Story mesmorizing. Scenery awesome! ..well worth watching.
This is a sad and interesting film. I especially enjoyed the sceens in the forests of tasmania. Sadly, the film gives you an excellent view of what it is like hunt an animal and be hunted. Unfortunately, the storyline is somewhat predicatable but it holds ones interest, nonetheless.
Brilliant and sometimes surprising movie. Willem D. excellent as always. The Tasmanian landscape is breathtaking.
