Armando Alvarez has lived and worked on his father's ranch in Mexico his entire life. As the ranch faces financial strains, Armando's younger brother Raul shows up and pledges to settle all his father's debts. It seems that Raul's success as an international businessman means the ranch's troubles are over, but when Armando falls for Sonia, and Raul's business dealings turn out to be less than legit, the Alvarez family finds themselves in a full-out war with Mexico's most feared drug lord.

Add a CommentThis is perhaps the worse movie I've even seen in my life. Please give me back the 70 minutes I've wasted of my life.
This movie was funny.
I understand now why this movie bombed at the box office. it was basically a foreign movie and most americans don't want to read their movies. it was only mildly amusing at times. will ferrell has done better in other movies.
Awfully unfunny.
No tongue & cheek humour here more like butt & grabb humour? Who wants to see his butt ugly ass anyway? Not mention the entire movie is in spanish?
I believe that this is the worst move in the history of movies. Dont rent it out.
This deserves at least some minor cult classic consideration. Sort of put me in mind of Black Dynamite. Intentionally bad, but in a mildly entertaining way. I laughed out loud a few times. There is enough here to at least warrant a viewing if you like genre spoofs that take themselves seriously enough to actually be funny. If you liked Black Dynamite and/or Machete, you might like this.
The previews for this movie showed the funniest parts. The rest of “Casa de Mi Padre” failed to deliver the laughs. This is quite a shame, given the major talent that made up the cast.
kept falling asleep on it, before I knew it - it was time to return it. I still don't know how it ended...
I thought this film was going to be a stupid comedy, which, in some way, it was, but it actually turned out to be a very entertaining film with a plot that drew me in from the very beginning.
