The Mayans aren’t the only ones with a 2012 prophecy…
Long before recorded history, there was a Keetoowah warrior so feared that everyone trembled before his wrath. Only a brutal betrayal by the one closest to him could defeat him. But not even death was the end of a man so strong.
The Time Untime approaches…
Kateri Avani has been plagued her entire life with dreams she doesn’t understand. Images of places she’s never been and of a man she’s never seen. Her quest for answers has driven her to Las Vegas where she hopes to finally silence the demons in her mind.
What she never anticipates is coming face to face with the warrior who has haunted her her entire life. One who belongs to a world the scientist in her refuses to believe is real.
Ren Waya came back from the dead to keep the prophecy he began from coming true and ending the world. For thousands of years, he has fought the same evil that once possessed him. But now that evil has found the one person he can’t fight. The one person who, against his will, holds the most sacred part of him.
His heart.
But if he doesn’t kill Kateri, the deadliest of evils will reemerge and destroy everyone else on the planet. It was a sacrifice he made once.
Will he be able to make it again?

Add a CommentI did not enjoy this book. I didn't really think it was a true Dark Hunter story. Sure Kenyon brought back a handful of old characters, but they didn't add to the story. This was more of a Mayan 2012 end of world story mixing the Greek, Atlantis, Native American and Mayan mythology. Confusing and unnecessary. Don't read this book if you haven't been following the DH series because you will be left wonder who all these characters are who keep popping in to say hi. I think this is my last book by Sherrilyn Kenyon. It was too much of a chore to read it.
Well she's done it again. I can't get enough of the dark hunters and I can't wait for Styxx's story. I loved the two characters that she chose as the main pair and of course I love it when Ash makes an apperence in any of the books because he is my favorite, but Sundown is also plays a big role in this book. Not really surprising since he and Ren are best friends, but also kind of surprising since he just got his own book. I do wish that she had brought back some of the older characters from the first few books. Would have loved it if Simi had shown up once. Anywan can't wait for the next book. And when is Nick getting his happy ending?
So liked this new book. I found it a little difficult to keep up with jumping between past and present but it could not be so reveling of the characters backgrounds with out this style of writing. Sherrilyn has done it again. Less explicit sexual discription but still enough for this story without it.
Another great story. I was very happy to see Kenyon got away from all the torture, it was getting to be way too much also has less graphic sex pages. I do wonder if she forgot that at the end of Sasha's story if I've remembered right he got married.
Ren's bio-dad equals both Seth's and Ash's for being a complete jerk. Of course, Ren's younger brother isn't much better.Even Styxx is better than Coyote. At least Styxx was open in his hostility toward Ash. Coyote, on the other hand, backstabbed both Ren and Buffalo over Butterfly liking someone else and then blamed Ren for it. It is interesting to note that Ren is the second oldest Darkhunter, since he was born a few years after Apollymi devastated the Earth.
Loved it !!!! Better then it could have been better than i thought. The dark hunter series is better with each book. Hope to read more!!!
Another fine entry. I always wonder if a writer’s personal business—what they’re going through in real life—comes out in their books at all. One of the underlying themes of this book seems to be coping with the loss and terrible heartache of missing those who have died. I can’t help but wonder if Kenyon’s recently lost someone herself.
Jackcall seems to believe that the request list is the one-week take out. Requests are for 3 weeks with renewall(s) only if a copy is available. One week requests are renewable for once and are not included in regular requests. One week express Must be picked up in a certain spot (different) in each branch.
i would like to put on hold, however i don't want two books that are on the short read (due back in one week) list at the same time frame. thanks
