I watched this because Tarsem Singh makes great looking movies. I should have muted it so I wouldn't hear any of the stupidity.
Underwhelming silly take on Snow White. The effects, costumes and stunts were the highlights here. None of the performances wowed. Not particularly well written. Watched it with my daughter. There are so many better family films I can't recommend this one.
This was the worst movie I've seen in a very long time. I don't recommend it for any age group. And I find the humor especially inappropriate for children.
this movie is sooo not funny... it like power ranger meet snow white this movie makes julia robert looks bad by writting her as an old ugly hag that wish to be young again.
So funny!
Eh... I didn't even finish the movie.
If you are looking for a film like the orginal, then you are looking in the wrong place. This movie has a great twist and is very funny. A great family film; I thought it was funny and sad how they changed the dawrfs names and characters. All in all a great movie and shows how men are not always the "heros" and also desplays how well Snow White can take care of herself. A great film and I loved the singing scene at the end, made me laugh!:)
I wondered why release two Snow White movies at near the same time. While Julia doesn't command the stage like Charleze Theron, but this is a simple comedy and Julia does her part. At least the actress playing Snow White actually is an actress, and even LOOKS the part to play Snow. The visuals are what make it fun, if only the same visuals were used to make SW & the Huntsman. And the Bollywood dance number during the credits made me laugh.
Fair – Mirror Mirror (2012) 106 min. Not terrible but not good either. Thank goodness for Julia Roberts’ appearance as the wicked witch or this could have been labelled a “bomb”. One positive thing besides the nice sets and costumes and the fact that the film doesn’t take itself too seriously is that the role of women is continuing on a positive path for kids to see – it’s Snow White that leaps to tackle evil and does not play the victim waiting for the prince to save her. Nice touch. If you want a much better treatment of the fairy tale check out "Snow White and the Huntsman" also offered by OPL.
