When three ordinary high school friends make an extraordinary discovery, they acquire amazing abilities beyond their understanding. But as their powers develop, so do their darker sides. Summary
Add a SummaryI agree with Swagzilla, although I wouldn't be quite that blunt. I'll just stick with pathetic movie where you don't give a crap about any of the characters. Sequel?? When everyone's dead except the one who doesn't want his "powers" (whoa, look at me, I can fly and do mind over matter just like Penn and Teller) is dead? Don't think so, thank God. In a world where we should conserve resources, time and celluloid (or smart-phone storage cells) should not be wasted on a sequel to this thing. Easily the worst movie I have ever seen. Not even campy like Friday 13 (so bad it was at least funny)
I bet htis movie is going to be great whats better thatn teenagers with superpowers!
this SUCKS

A God-awful, disgusting movie. Gross and inappropriate and just a stupid story line and ending! DON'T LET ANYONE WATCH IT UNDER 13! There are extremely mature themes. I am saying this and i am a teenage guy, not a parent.
This has to be the WORST movie I have ever seen. I wanted to see it as it was "supposedly" set in Seattle, and except for the photo-shopped use of the needle in the movie and on the cover, not so at all. The only reason to actually "watch" it ( you will hit ffwd often) is because one of the characters is really cute, and for once the cute one is the one still alive at the end. Other than that, I'd give this a three thumbs down if I had a third hand. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME on this patheticly bad story and film. I would like to note the filmmakers and "stars" except that I refuse to dig out a magnifying glass to read the details on the dvd case, small as to hide identities of the guilty parties, I assume, but would like to know names so to avoid future abominations from them.
We watched this with our teen son and all of us enjoyed the film.
This movie was much more entertaining that I ever imagined. Sad ending, but it's pretty convincing. Unique yet realistic.
Notable for its effects, but more important as a troubling "chronicle" of the generational life and longevity of abuse and dysfunction. You root for Andrew and want him, with all of the hardships he's faced, to find happiness. But, superpowers or no, he is, as his confreres, at the end what he was at the beginning and would, if he could, kill everyone. Lesson: father, cousin, schoolmate, stranger--be nice to people.
Much more intresting than I thought it would be. And I felt that the teen characters were realisticly written and well acted.
I wonder how many teens go to bed and dream of having powers to overcome all troubles in their lives. The recient success of the Marvel franchise and Comicon proves a point. Every hero has a villian to define him.
I agree with my predecessors in that this film had a great idea but was poorly executed. It also struck me as it closely resembled films like "Cloverfield" and even the anime, "Dragonball Z". I disliked some elements and appreciated others. Enough said.
