A few ok 3d effects. Doesn't even make the so so levels of the first if the first was even that.
It's a comic book story. Not "Citizen Kane". And yes, it's mediocre, at best. When Nicolas Cage isn't overacting spasmodically, he's deadpan, with a perma-pained expression on his face. For some random reason from the writers, he, as "Hothead", is on an impromptu quest to battle woman and child beating "Decay Dude" (and his indestructible Twinkie) in Romania and Turkey. And thankfully, he's got his new sidekick, unknown drunken French priest, to bring him to a gang of tattoo-faced monks. If it wasn't for that darned Beelzebub mucking things up! Sheesh! Kidding aside, it wasn't horrible, for what it's worth. I enjoyed the CGI action sequences, and the tasty Italian eye candy Violante Placido (rrRROWWRR).
There's something about seeing CGI flame effects in broad daylight ( during the "thrilling climax") that just looks ,...silly !! I don't like being reminded that I'm watching a comic book,.. especially when its trying so hard to be exciting.
sorry nic, but much as i like your films, this one sucks. big time. bored me senseless. stick to the first one where he amused me no end doing his elvis pose
Just shoot me now! This one was painful. I had my fingers crossed because I thought the first one was bad, and assumed this one HAD to be better. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice.......
Only the visuals are nice, but I did like them. Ghost Rider is a cool looking character on his red hot bike, truck, and super dozer. Some nice locales too. The story is just another hero protecting child, with Mom along for the ride, nothing wrong with it except mediocrity. Don't watch if you are demanding. Oh yeah, Cage is way too old and hams too much (not that there is much else to do with this material).
Enjoyed the first one, sometimes a sequel needs to be skipped or hire good writers.
This wasn't the worst movie I've ever seen, it is far from being good. "I fast forwarded a lot but not all the way.”
This movie is so bad, it gives B movies a bad name. Really, really, really don't bother.
