Tiny Furniture

Details

Aura is a recent college graduate who returns to New York and moves back in with her mother and sister. As painfully confessional as it is endlessly amusing, Tiny Furniture is an authentic, incisive portrait of a young woman at a crossroads.

Brilliant writing. Captures the malaise of the post graduate or the "twenty something" at a crossroads in life. An unrepentant look at the foibles, insecurities and strengths of a 20 year old woman. Slyly funny ("it's in the white cabinet")

A home movie passing as a feature film, badly acted and not funny.

What a marvelous surprise. She is one to watch. Really terrific first feature. Absolutely a must for anyone interested in who will continue that New York sensibility when Woody Allen is gone.and I believe she did this cat 24!

This low-budget movie ($45,000 including post-production costs) delivers a lot. The young writer/director/actor has been compared to Woody Allen. Her humor is not only sharp but there's a depth of feeling here that is just not part of Allen's schtick.
