I didn't really know what to expect from this book, but it was AMAZING. Im 19 and I very much enjoyed this book. It was refreshing. Original. Interesting, to say the least. I loved the characters, again, original. Especially Maddy! She was... complicated. I like that.

Mercenary angels. I like it. And it has a whole rebellion in the remaking thing going for it. The way the character's connect, doesn't make sense and that means you have to suspend your disbelief and just be okay that it's some sort of magic mojo and to just go with it. Plus you also need to let go of the unsubtlety of the 1/2 breed reveal. Can't wait to see what happens next.

LOVED this book it took me to a great ride i already read the second and was amazing and even more suprising and cool then the first. Please have the thrid book soon I cant wait for it

IT was totally amazing!!!!!!!!! Whats the second one!!!!

I have to admit this was a good book. It has a fresh story. The main characters are Maddy and Jackson. Maddy is supposed to be a tough girl that us hard to reach. In some ways she is and in some ways she isn't. Jackson is supposed to be confident and sorta cocky. They were okay characters, but not interesting enough. The ending was kind of easy to figure out half way through the book. The ending was kinda weird though. The epilogue was good. In some places this book was rushed and in some places it was kinda slow. So over all, a good book but I wouldn't recommend to a friend.

It was kinda predictable and i was so surprised that the author was a guy.

This book was so awesome! I had almost no expectations when I had borrowed this book, but by far pasted my expectations! A song that I had just found online called Angel with a Shotgun by the Cab almost perfectly matched what kind of feeling Jacks gave off throughout this book. I just found out that this book has a 2nd book after it as well. I'm extremely excited and I really can't wait! I hope the book comes out soon ( if it hasn't already ( I haven't checked yet))!

I was at the library with my friend and she needed help looking for a book for a project in her English class so there I was trying to help her find a book when I came across this book. I was like 'Whatever I'll give it a try.' After I started it it took me a day to read it. I loved it and when I found there's a second one coming out I was like 'YES! TOTALLY HAVE TO READ IT!' my life is complete......:D

pretty good book! saw it in the library and read the summary thought it was pretty good..and it was. I don't think I was expecting much but im actually pretty satisfied. towards the ending of the book I think my heart broke and it was a bit cliché but things worked themselves out so alls good in the world again :)

“He stopped and pointed an accusing finger at her. 'I didn’t ask for this. But I felt something in that back room with you, and it’s stayed with me ever since. I want to be with you. I need to be with you.' His tone was both angry and helpless.”

“Listen. This will probably be the worst pain you have ever experienced in your life. Everything in your body will tell you to let go, but you have to hold on. You have to hold on, Maddy, no matter what. No matter how badly it hurts. You can never, never let go. Can you do that for me?”
