I had heard of this book over the years growing up but had forgotten about it. I came across it while in the kids section w/ my children and decided to pick it up. So glad i did. Engaging book and thought provoking as well with a good message reinforcing the truth that Love conquers all and light is greater than darkness!

I read this in 4th grade and never forgot it and reading it as an adult brought back all the same thrills! Still unique even after all these years, engaging, page turning and memorable.

A timeless classic about time and space, or as Einstein's prof would put it, spacetime! Ms. L'Engle inspires with a book both heroic and darkly sinister. (Meg the highly intelligent and socially maladroit young lady, her brother Charles Wallace, the child prodigy equally emotionally intelligent, and Calvin The Reliable!)

Everyone must read this book it is so great.

"The foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. For ye see your calling , brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called, but God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the things which are mighty. And base things of the world, and things which despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are."
