Nice little film, superbly well crafted. Unilke so much stuff on the screen, this leaves you with a bit of elbow room to determine just what's what, to guess at some howcomes in the plot. Still, responsibility isn't shirked about the end: it's clear enough what's likely to happen next in the love affair (again, you are expected to bring along your thinking cap). I liked the directorial touches esp at the start, which recur almost throughout, the way scenes close with quiet conclusiveness: the protagonist's carpentry's used to express overt affection near the start, there's none of the usual extravagance in the sex-around-the-room department, and nice touches, such as the way she affirms that she *is* ready to go out by insisting, of course, she's got her shoes on after all; etc. The only possible move that jars is how he in particular is tossed about by her and her family, and left stranded without the solution that had been assured (yet it's no big deal for anyone, oddly). Small niggle, though. Nice performances, esp by Felicity Jones. All told, a sweet, gently-paced story of young love, with a fresh, unflashy way of throwing a few life-like and intriguing complications into the mix. Drake Doremus is a director to watch.
Super slow pace romantic movie.
You keep expecting something to happen to actually make this a story, but it doesn't.
I loved the movie, it was very well done. And I do understand what happens at the end, I think it's obvious. Both actors did a great job as well.
One of the most Disappointing -Unwatchable films I’ve ever seen this year. No substance, No script, No storyline, No acting abilities, A Really Dumb Movie. "I fast forwarded all the way." It would be a waste of money to buy.
What a strange and painful film. It demonstrates the youth of today, narcissistic and entitled beyond belief, thinking no more of their future and what that holds than the next month or 6. And an even stranger ending. Disappointing, but well acted.
This movie was so very, very BAD! All of the comments that have been left here about the movie are right on the mark. The only benefit of this movie is that it makes all of the other movies I have seen after this one look Brilliant! If anyone figured out how it ended, let me know!
Found the movie to be pretty boring.
