Add a CommentThe language is plain, the premise seems easy enough to predict, but once I read this, my opinion changed completely. There's something about the simplicity of Sam's words, thoughts, and feelings, something we can all relate to. I think that it's this factor in addition to the cruel but realistic ending that really broke me in the end.I read for emotions, I read for art hidden in clean, concise writing, and I read to have my heart shattered and then pieced back together. This book had it all, and left out the unnecessary components like fluffy endings, twisting plot to please readers, and over-explaining why things happen in life.
Great book. Hoping for a sequel.....fingers crossed!
