The son--and enforcer--of the leader of the North American werewolves, Charles is a dominant Alpha. While Anna, an Omega, has the rare ability to calm others of her kind. Now that the werewolves have revealed themselves to humans, they can't afford any bad publicity. Infractions that could have been overlooked in the past must now be punished, and the strain of doing his father's dirty work is taking a toll on Charles. Nevertheless, Charles and Anna are sent to Boston when the FBI requests the pack's help on a local serial-killer case. Summary
Add a SummaryAfter having to kill several werewolves, Charles is beginning to crumble mentally; he's seeing ghosts and starting to give in to his bloodthirsty instincts. So he and Anna are sent to Boston on a special mission -- assist the FBI on a serial-killer case that has lasted decades. The killer initially had a straightforward pattern (Asian teenagers), but began including werewolves and fae. Each one was carved with witch symbols, raped, and finally murdered. Now the human daughter of a high-ranking fae has been kidnapped, and the FBI/werewolf team has only hours to find her. But the case becomes particularly strange when they discover that a long-dead witch and a bizarre kind of fae may be involved in it. And unless they figure out who the killers are fast, Anna might be their next target.
Charles has been his father's enforcer for centuries, but now that weres are out of the closet, he's suffering from job burnout. Anna argued with Bran on two fronts, and now she and Charles are on their way to Boston to help the feds deal with a serial killer who has targeted werewolves and fae. Justice is eventually served when the killer targets the wrong 1/2 fae and her father(who may be older than Bran) gets involved in the investigation. I hope that Leslie and Goldstein from the FBI return in future books, since they are about stopping human monsters, as opposed to supernatural monsters.

Love it . can not wait for the next for the next book.
Enjoyable fast paced romantic read, lots of action, another good read from author.
Not super exciting. Just comfortable reading.
Another great addition to the Charles and Anna saga - please keep it up, Ms. Briggs! Love them!
Book three in the "Alpha and Omega" series. Focus is on Anna, an omega wolf, and her partner Charles. Loved it. Hard not to love a Patricia Briggs novel, though. There were very few slow parts, and her focus on relationships is superbly executed as always. What should you keep secret in a relationship? I also like that fact that Anna is strong, but quiet. There are so many authors today writing about characters who are mouthy, rude, and compulsive. It's nice to see a bit of a change up! I'm going to go re-read the book now. You should give it a shot too ;)
The great thing about Patricia Brigg's books is that she doesn't just recycle the same plot line over and over in her series. A great addition to the series.
The best book in the Alpha and Omega series so far! Charles is still utterly sexy and I'm absolutely in love with Anna's sweet personality and quiet strength, which stands out in a field of authors whose heroines equate strength with over-the-top stubbornness and obnoxious behavior. The plot is well thought out and suspenseful and the romance is sweet versus steamy. I loved it :)
It was good to see Anna growing in her strengths and power. A little too much tv FBI, et als inter bureau/agency sparing and jockying.
Briggs got her groove back! Reading the book description, I was worried what she would do to Charles but the character development was realistic and thoughtful.
