A cute, though rather predictable story. I liked it as a fun beach read, and it was actually a little deeper than the girl-wants-to-be-popular-then-decides-that's-a-bad-idea than I thought it would be.

This book is about a girl named Ricki Jo but when High school starts she wants to be called Ericka. She also wants to be popular and be friends with the popular group. Her friend Luke, doesn't think that she should be friends with them. throughout the story little incidents happens and piece by piece she realizes that she doesn't have to be popular to have friends. Ricki Jo even goes to the school dance with the hottest boy in school David Wolfenbaker, known as Wolf. Ricki Jo thought that she would get her first kiss, she thought she was going to become popular and near the end of the book the true person who she really loves is Luke from next door.
