I've seen a few different films of this timeless story, but i agree with those who have reviewed before me. It is by far the best i have ever seen. The classic movie factor is also there which makes up for lack of cgi (and is much better in my opinion.) When you think about when it was made i'm sure it was truely terrifying.

The first and best adaptation of Wells's "The Island of Dr. Moreau." Great performance by Charles Laughton, very atmospheric and, even if it's a little dated, cool make-up. A big inspiration to Devo ("Are we not men?"), who are interviewed on the extras.

Sound and Very well done old school sci-fi movie. I would recommend this movie for all to see. Well worth the price of admission to any theater.

Some really funny bits. Loved the drunk ship's captain belting Parker and throwing him overboard. And that 'Panther Woman' was hot! (lol) Delightfully cheezy eighty year old classic.

For what it's worth, it's not that bad...but not that great either.

A creepy, classic horror film that belongs alongside Dracula, Frankenstein, and Freaks.
