Add a CommentCan always count on Winnie the Pooh! What a lovely family movie! Great for all ages.
This is a lovely family movie that both kids and adults can enjoy (well, okay, especially kids). The movie is not boring, though, and the music is pretty good too. Zooey Deschanel does a good rendition of "Winnie the Pooh." There's also a funny short on the DVD, "The Ballad of Nessy."
Silly old bear! I really appreciate that this film's done in the traditional style; I loath the Pixar computer 3D style that seems to be everywhere these days.
SO SUPER CUTE!!!! POOH WAS SOO CUTE. Anyone who ever enjoyed any Winnie the pooh should watch it.
Very Pooh. Ah how sweet and philosophic.
One of the cutest and most sincere children’s movies I have seen in a few years! It felt like a classic, with ALL THE CHARMS of older Winnie the Pooh movies. You could tell the writers had great affection for the characters and resisted the Hollywood trend of “updating” (and usually wrecking) great stories. I DISAGREE with another reviewer that it lacked the “insight” of the original stories, and I even found distinct nods of the cap to Milne’s works, such as when Tigger follows his own tracks around a tree. Although, this movie might seem a bit young and tame for older children, it’s brilliant for younger children and sentimental grown-ups. I absolutely ADORED this movie!
cute family style movie. takes me back to my good old days of the stuffed bear. Definitely a good watch for younger kids.
pooh and friends at their best, a real step up from the older stories, hilarious!
A decent follow-on to the Disney versions, but lacking the sensitivity and insight of the original Milne stuff. If your pre-school kids have liked the other Disney stuff, they will be happy with this.
Over 15 years ago, I used to watch the Winnie the pooh tv show, almost nonstop. The silly old bear brought me back with fun humor, the book affecting the cast, from Pigget cutting the rope into peaces. I was laughing so hard at Rabbit's frustration. Watching it was like a storybook that I used to read coming to live. I always knew of Pooh, and was reminded how great Winnie the Pooh, and Kanga and little Roo. With Tigger, Rabbit, and Owl. It was like time traveling, capturing watching an old show, become new again.
