Add a CommentI like this film. It has good effects, good acting, it's funny, it remains true to the source and, like one or two of the Batman films, it has overcoming fear as it's theme. What's not to like, really? Ryan Reynolds is pretty perfect for the part, ye old Guardians of the Galaxy were nicely portrayed. Hal's relationship with his girlfriend was a bit wimpy with her being bossy and know-it-all but isn't that just the state of America in Hollywood or vice versa? Furthermore, Hal is surrounded by obstacles via Sarsgaard's character, his girlfriend, Parallax, his bosses, his government, Sinestro and the ultimately useless Guardians. He's got more resistance than assistance in an apparently hostile universe.
Average movie. Average plot. Average cast, with the exception of Ryan Reynolds, who had a sort of decent performance. Not his best one though. OK special effects, the rest was just plain average. Nothing too good, nothing that bad. Just a very average movie for the average movie go-er. 2 and a half stars for Green Lantern's average effort.
Ryan Reynolds does a great job. The story explains and sets the scene for the other superhero characters and the beginning of the Avengers. Unfortunately, the movie was disappointing.
i dont have that movie i brought it back a long time ago
Good to OK 3D effects. Not going to set the comic book movie thing on fire. Ryan Reynolds so so as lead.
Entertaining, fast paced super hero flick. Ryan Reynolds & cast were very good. Well done.
It wasv not bad but not a great movie. B- at most.
This was better than I expected. However, I am not very familiar with the original story.
Too mediocre to satisfy adults: may entertain younger viewers. Hideous bad guys, terrific special effects. The backstory contains the violent death of a parent. There's also some "Top Gun" type rah-rah for the military. The "love story" bits bring everything to a dead halt. But hey, Ryan Reynolds looks great!
somewhat entertaining. not really "BAD" per-say. But they left a boat-load out of the movie. Afterwards, my wife and I made a list of 15 things that didn't make sense. hehehe.
