I liked this book, although I didn't really enjoy the magical side of the story. It's kind of hard to follow the whole "mark" stuff (won't spoil anything) and I think that part could have either been simplified or explained a lot better...but it is a good book and I will check out the sequel. <--- I'm assuming there will be one since it ended with a cliff-hanger.

D'ah. I don't really want to go around pointing out the overwhelming similarities to Twilight, but let it suffice to say they were there. I'm really tired of paranormal romance. Surely authors must realize at some point that teenagers and young adults don't spend every hour of their waking day thinking about love and romance. I'm so happy for Leigh for getting a publishing deal though Inkpop and she serves as an inspiration for all of us inkies, but I'm afraid this was not the greatest book that HC could have chosen out of the top 5.

This book was everything I could ask for in a book! It involved mystery, romance and suspense. I would definitely reccomend this book if you like mythology and fantasy books.

There is something in this book for everyone: Romance, adventure, suspense, and a bit of realistic fiction too. Amazing book!

I liked the story behind the characters but the characters and relationship between. I thought it was to fairytale for someone to fall in love with a blink of an eye. Most of I felt like it was making a lot of promises made but none really met what they said. I also love the author and felt like this was disappointment.

the plot was pretty cool, i love the irish myths and elemental powers. i have been waiting forever for an elemental book. but the writing left something to be desired. it was way too much tell and no show whatsoever, and i was always distracted by how not good it was. there was something though about the book that made me willing to read the sequel, even if the writing was bad.

YES. I've been waiting for this book to come out since February [and still a month left!] when I read about her publishing deal on inkpop. Just gotta say I really can't wait. Leigh's a beautiful writer and she totally deserves this spot. You can read the first several chapters on inkpop, too. :] Go Leigh!
